Our Story
Opal Healing Corner-Hem of Love was founded in 2024 to bring knowledge and acceptance to the prevalence of mental health in the black community, particularly focusing on mental health support for black women. This service aims to educate women who are suffering from mental health issues and to assure them that they are not alone. Our website will provide updated information on community resources for mental health specifically for black women and their loved ones. Hem of Love strives to create a nurturing environment filled with love and respect, while also working towards transforming lives and building self-esteem in women of all ages. This non-profit organization reflects the scripture from Matthew 9:21-22, which emphasizes faith and healing: for she said within herself, if I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
