I am Charlene Vernon-Edwards, is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York, Licensed Social Worker in New Jersey (LSW) is a dedicated social work professional and the founder of Opal Healing Corner – Hem of Love, LLC. 

I bring over a decade of client-centered experience, combining clinical expertise with a strong commitment to advocacy, leadership, and empowerment.

With extensive experience providing internship training and professional guidance to Bachelor’s and Master’s level social work students, I am dedicated to developing future professionals through mentorship, supervision support, and skill-building in clinical documentation, client engagement, and overall professionalism.

I have direct psychotherapy experience supporting adolescents and adults with concerns including depression, bipolar disorder, and adjustment-related challenges.

Grounded in strength-based, client-centered, and CBT-informed approaches, I am dedicated to helping individuals overcome barriers to care, build resilience, and reclaim agency. I also have extensive training in immigration-related social work, including asylum, VAWA, U- and T-visas, hardship waivers, and cancellation of removal
